Orange makes 10 commitments to EU digital agenda

France Telecom-Orange CEO Stephane Richard has presented 10 commitments contributing to Europe's Digital Agenda to European Commission vice-president Neelie Kroes at an event it organised in Brussels on 20 March. The 10 commitments include a pledge to roll out LTE networks in Orange's 10 EU markets by 2015, to make FTTH available to 15 million homes and 80 percent of businesses in France by 2020 and to participate in the rollout of fibre in its European markets. The operator also made a commitment to providing 3 million SIM-based NFC devices to its EU customers this year and 10 million in
