Orange planning to replace CEO of Spanish unit - report

Orange is planning to replace the current CEO of its Spanish unit over the next few months as it seeks to revamp its senior management to compete with rivals Telefonica and Vodafone, according to unnamed sources cited in business daily Expansion. The French company has decided to act shortly after completing the takeover of broadband operator Jazztel, and may replace current Orange Spain CEO Jean-Marc Vignolles with former Jazztel CEO and current associate CEO of Orange, Jose Miguel Garcia, said the sources. Orange declined to comment on the rumours. Vignolles has been Orange Spain CEO since April 2007 and has managed to keep the operator's revenues stable and even improve its margins during the worst years of the economic downturn in Spain.
