
Orange Poland has launched its 5G network in the so-called Tri-City area, including the coastal cities of the Baltic Sea, Gdansk, Gdynia and Sopot. Around 6 million residents at about 400 sites can now access the operator's #hello5G service,, including 90,000 in Tri-City.
Subscribers connected to the tariff plans Orange Love Extra and Premium, some plans of the Orange Flex service, as well as the Unlimited prepaid service, can all use 5G services. These aree also available for customers connected to some business tariffs.
Around 14 percent of smartphones sold in operator shops support 5G.
The 5G network of Orange Poland operates on the 2,100 MHz spectrum band, using dynamic spectrum sharing for LTE and 5G. More than 1,600 of the operator's base stations support 5G across the country.
