Orange Poland to launch 5G services in July

Mobile operator Orange Poland announced that it plans to start providing 5G services on 01 July. The services will be available under the #hello5G brand. Almost 6 million subscribers of the operator will be covered to start.

The operator is in the process of completing the upgrade of its network to support the 5G launch on 1,600 base stations. The services will be available in Warsaw, Krakow, Lodz and Katowice, as well as other locations. The 2,100 MHz band, which to date has been used by the operator for LTE services, will be allocated for 5G services. 

Orange Poland also continues testing of 5G technology on the 3.5 GHz and 26 GHz bands. 

The operator said it plans to offer customers 5G end-user devices also from July.
