Orange reviews European assets, plans more network sharing

France Telecom-Orange may seek to find infrastructure sharing agreements in Austria, Romania and Slovakia, as it has recently done in Poland, group CEO Stephane Richard told the Wall Street Journal. While it has partnered with Deutsche Telekom in the UK and Poland and on joint procurement, Richard said a full merger with the German operator is out of the question. As previously reported France Telecom-Orange is hunting for acquisitions in the Middle East and Africa as part of its objective of doubling emerging market revenues by 2015.
