Orange Spain launches fibre optic services in Valladolid

Orange Spain has announced the launch of its FTTH service in the northern Spanish city of Valladolid, initially covering around 105,000 households in the areas of Parquesol, Villa del Prado, Huerta del Rey, La Victoria, La Rondilla and Vadillos–Circular–Universidad. The EUR 9 million development will eventually see coverage extended to the areas of Delicias and Zorilla. Orange, in partnership with Vodafone, intends to bring fibre broadband services to 6 million homes and businesses in 50 major Spanish cities by September 2017. The operator has announced coverage to a total of 800,000
