Orange Spain reaches preliminary redundancy deal - report

Monday 7 March 2016 | 11:32 CET | News
Orange has reached a preliminary agreement with trade union CCOO (Workers' Commissions) over its collective dismissal plans, reports El Economista. Under the terms of the draft deal, the operator will commit to reducing the number of redundancies to 496 from the initial 550, all of them voluntary, and refrain from cutting any more jobs for at least two years. The cuts will affect Orange workers in the provinces of Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia and Valladolid, said the report.
