Orange has begun offering the home surveillance service that it unveiled in January, when it announced the Protectline joint venture in partnership with Groupama. Called 'Maison Protegee' (Protected Home), the new package is now marketed in selected retail stores to Orange fixed and mobile customers. It is expected to become more widely available from April.
The monthly subscription, without minimum contract period, starts at EUR 25.99 for users living in apartment buildings (excluding ground-floor flats). It rises to EUR 30.99/month for all other types of house (including ground-floor flats), within a limit of 150 square meters and/or a content insurance value of EUR 100,000. Users can monitor the service via a dedicated website and mobile app.
The package covers the installation and rental of a connected alarm system that triggers a response from security agencies in case of intrusion. It features an integrated mobile SIM in case of broadband failure, connected sensors, and two access badges. Several optional items can be added separately, including a remote control billed at EUR 2/month.
