Orange Switzerland launches LTE-A in Berne

Thursday 11 December 2014 | 14:23 CET | News
Orange Switzerland has announced the commercial launch of its LTE-A service in Berne, with the other major Swiss cities to follow in 2015. The operator's LTE-A (4G+) technology allows customers to download at theoretical top speeds of 300 Mbps, around twice the highest speed currently available under a standard LTE network. Orange Switzerland also confirmed that prepay and postpay customers will not be charged extra to use LTE-A. The service will be made available automatically with no need for customers to change their existing subscription, said Orange.
