Orange Switzerland to sell for up to EUR 2 bln - Orange CFO
France Telecom SA will raise as much as EUR 2 billion from the sale of its Swiss business, Orange Switzerland, and should close on the deal by the end of next year's first quarter, Chief Financial Officer Gervais Pellissier said Tuesday. Earlier press reports gave an estimated figure of up to EUR 1.5 billion for the Orange Switzerland sale. In Europe, France Telecom has also put its stakes in Austrian mobile operator One and Portugal's Sonaecom up for sale. Elsewhere, the group hopes to double its North Africa and Middle East region revenue to EUR 7 billion in 2015 and is currently growing there by 7 to 8 percent.

France Telecom may return half of the money raised from the Orange Switzerland sale to its shareholders in the form of a share buyback, group CFO Gervais Pellissier told Reuters. Orascom Telecom could bid for France Telecom's unit Orange Switzerland, SonntagsZeitung and NZZ am Sonntag report. Orange Switzerland launches HD Voice nation-wide

Orange Switzerland has launched HD Voice with nationwide coverage. The operator already markets 21 HD Voice enabled mobile phones manufactured by Sony Ericsson and HTC as well as other manufacturers. In addition to Switzerland, HD Voice has been launched in 15 Orange markets.
