Orange to stop advertising on TF1's TV channels - report

French broadcaster TF1 is set to lose Orange as an advertiser, reports Le Figaro quoting unnamed sources. The move is in retaliation to TF1's decision to withdraw access to the MyTF1 replay service for Orange customers, following the recent collapse of talks aiming to agree new terms for the distribution of TF1's five free-to-air channels on the Orange TV platform. In 2017, Orange’s ad campaigns on TF1 reportedly amounted to a net spend of approximately EUR 20 million.

TF1 CEO Gilles Pelisson said that it was hopeful of a rapid resolution to the current dispute with Orange, in an interview with Le Journal du Dimanche on 17 February, adding that it was in the interest of both parties to join forces in a strong partnership.
