Orange Uganda close to mobile money service launch

Orange Uganda is set to enter into Uganda's mobile money transfer market, as revenues from making calls continue to dive following the recent price wars and the volatile economic environment. The mobile operator said it's exploring mobile money transfer as a supplementary revenue stream. The firm's Chief Officer Strategy, Edouard Blondeau told the Daily Monitor that the firm is in advanced stages of launching Orange Money to enable its customers to deposit, withdraw or transfer money and pay for goods and services using phones.
