Orange UK iPad sales do not live up to expectations - report

Orange UK expected to sell tens of thousands of iPads over the holidays, at a reduced price of GBP 199 with a two-year contract, but it has only sold 1000 units in the first week of sales, The Times reported, citing industry sources. Orange UK, T-Mobile UK and 3 UK all launched subsidised iPad offerings in December to capitalise on the holiday tablet rush, tying in customers to two-year data plans in the process. Orange UK had expected to sell "tens of thousands" of devices over the holidays. The 1,000 sales figure has not been confirmed by Orange. Nor is it clear how many subsidised iPads
