Orange won't be raising Jazztel offer – CEO

Orange has no intention of raising its EUR 3.4 billion offer to acquire Spanish broadband operator Jazztel, according to Orange chairman and CEO Stephane Richard. In an interview with Spanish daily El Pais, the Orange chief executive strongly rebuffed claims from some Jazztel investors that the offer undervalued the company. "I want to be clear on this point: there will be no increase in the price," said Richard, adding that the cash offer is "highly attractive for shareholders," as proven by the decision of Jazztel chairman Leopoldo Fernandez Pujals to sell his entire 14.5 percent stake. An
