Orange's next Livebox will not use Android TV

Orange France plans several updates to its existing Livebox Play STB's Polaris multi-device software before unveiling a new one in the autumn, the operator's head of nnovation, marketing and technology, Marie-Noelle Jego-Laveissiere, told 01net. She said 4k was not likely before 2016, coincinding with the next Livebox hardware launch, as announced by chairman and CEO Stephane Richard. He said Orange would not be based on Android TV, as Free and Bouygues Telecom have done.
