OTE ups dividend, plans higher capex in 2017

Greek operator OTE proposed a strong increase in its annual dividend, after reporting stabilising results for 2016. The company controlled by Deutsche Telekom will pay EUR 0.16 per share, up from EUR 0.10 in 2015. This follows annual revenues up 0.1 percent to EUR 3.908 billion, and net profit down 7.8 percent to EUR 140 million. Adjusted operating cash flow was up 0.8 percent in the year to EUR 1.085 billion, while capital expenditure also rose 10.1 percent to EUR 627 million as OTE expanded investment in LTE and upgrading its fixed network to VDSL.
