OTT SVoD services remain complement to pay-TV - study

Over-the-top steaming video-on-demand (OTT SVoD) services remain a complement to, not a replacement for, traditional pay TV, according to Horowitz Research. The report shows that 40 percent of US internet users have multi-channel and an OTT SVoD service, 42 percent have multi-channel only, 11 percent have an OTT SVoD service only, and 7 percent have neither. Among OTT SVoD users, over three quarters (78%) are also multi-channel subscribers. The study shows that among internet users overall, half (51%) have access to an OTT SVoD service (such as Netflix, Hulu paid, or Amazon Prime Instant
