OTT TV services growing fast in the US and attracting older viewers - study

Virtual pay-TV services (vMVPDs) are a small but rapidly-growing segment of the US TV market and are now attracting viewers across all age profiles, according to the latest research from Comscore. These services, delivered over the internet by companies without the use of proprietary physical infrastructure, had penetrated 5 percent of WiFi-equipped US households by April, a 58 percent increase year over year, the report found.
