Over 100 civil society groups urge Facebook to implement end-to-end encryption

Over a hundred civil society organisations from all over the world, including the Association for Progressive Communications (APC), have sent an open letter to Facebook urging the company "to continue increasing the end-to-end security across Facebook's messaging services." The letter was sent in response to news that the governments of the US, UK and Australia are pressuring the social network giant to delay plans for end-to-end encryption across its messaging apps.
