Over 20% of Mexican data transmitted via 4G network

Around 21.8 percent of all data flowing over Mexican mobile networks is transmitted via LTE networks, while 73.3 percent still uses 3G and HSPA+ networks, reports Telesemana, citing 4G Americas Latin America and Caribbean director Jose Otero. Speaking at the Mexican Telecom Forum, Otero said the number of LTE subscribers would grow from the current figure of 8.9 million to 50 million by 2019, according to data from 451 Research. Otero added that Nextel (AT&T) users consumed the most data in the second quarter of the year, averaging some 4GB, followed by Iusacell-Unefon (AT&T) with 2.4GB per
