Over 40% of firms to use IoT by end of the year - survey

Fewer than 29 percent of companies are using IoT at present and 14 percent plant to do so by the end of the year, according to a November 2015 survey by Gartner that questioned 465 businesses in eighteen sectors around the world. Another 21 percent of respondents expect to start using IoT in 2017. The researcher cites cost savings and better customer service opportunities as the main drivers for companies adopting IoT.
