Over a third of Americans to use m-payment for the holidays

Some 17 percent of US consumers who did not use mobile payment systems to buy presents last holiday season plan to do so this time, according to a survey of over 1,200 respondents by mobile and connected device security software company Inside Secure. The survey found that 39 percent of respondents plan to make in-store holiday purchases with their mobile device this year, compared to 33 percent a year ago. Some 64 percent of consumers planning to pay with their mobile at the point of sale are aged 18-44, compared to 36 percent in the 45+ age bracket. Apple iOS device owners are more likely
