Over a third of French use m-banking - survey

Over a third of French consumers have used their mobile phone to conduct at least one bank operation, according to an end-October study by Institut BVA on behalf of internet bank ING Direct. The survey of over 1,000 people aged 15 or more found that the most common m-banking operation is checking the balance of the current account (23%). If 35 percent of French people have used m-banking and 34 percent know that their bank offers a mobile app, only 8 percent have downloaded it.
