Over half Dutch watched TV programme online in 2016

Over half the Dutch watched a programme online from the three main broadcast groups NPO, SBS and RTL in 2016, according to the latest figures from ratings agency SKO. Some 8.752 million people, or 56.2 percent of TV viewers watched a programme online. In total the public broadcaster NPO reached an average 2.348 million monthly online viewers in 2016, followed by RTL with 1.922 million and SBS at 839,000. On average 2.039 million watched a programme online over a computer each month, 1.331 million on a tablet and 897,000 over smartphones.
