Over half French use streaming video services

The French listen to an average 11 hours of music per week, mainly over the radio or TV, and among those who download music, most do so legally, according to a study by GfK reported by AFP. The study covered spending on leisure activities and surveyed 2,360 people aged 10-65 in September and October. Of the average listening time, around 1.5 hours is downloaded music and just over one hour is streaming music. Almost half the respondents said they download music, and of these, two-thirds say they use only legal channels. The share saying they use illegal downloads has been fairly stable, at 16
