Over half in Europe use mobile devices for payments - Visa

The number of Europeans who regularly use a mobile device for payments has tripled since 2015, reaching 54 percent this year from 18 percent, according to Visa's 2016 Digital Payments Study, which looked at over 36,000 online consumers in 19 European countries. One year ago, 38 percent of the people surveyed said they had never used a mobile device to make payments and had no plans to do so. That number has now fallen to 12 percent.
