Over half of Germans send voice messages via messaging apps - Bitkom

Over half of users (55 percent) of messaging services like WhatsApp in Germany send voice messages via these apps, according to a new study from German digital association Bitkom of 1,212 internet users. Nearly three quarters (73 percent) of users between the ages of 14 and 29, and 50 percent of users between the ages of 30 and 49 years, said they send voice messages with these services, found Bitkom. Fifty percent of users between the ages of 50 and 64, and 31 percent of users over the age of 65, said they use these services to send voice messages.
