Over half of Germans use messaging apps for phone calls - Bitkom

Over half of Germans (51 percent) use messaging apps like WhatsApp to make telephone calls, according to a new survey of 1,212 people over the age of 14 by digital association Bitkom. This rises to 62 percent among 14 to 29-year-olds, with 78 percent of respondents under the age of 20 saying they use messaging apps for phone calls.
