Over half of Spanish connected homes subscribe to pay-TV

Around 51 percent of connected homes in Spain currently subscribe to a pay-TV or over-the-top (OTT) platform, according to a report from The Cocktail Analysis, Ymedia and Telefonica. The survey of 1,410 internet users aged 18 to 55 revealed that just 53 percent of users describe linear free-to-air TV as their prime audiovisual consumption option, with the rest preferring video on demand, previously recorded content, apps, streaming and pirated downloads.
