Overijssel towns reject CIF call to rethink fibre roll-out

Dutch operator CIF has been accused of breaching a contract with six municipalities in the province of Overijssel. The company earlier signed covenants with the local projects Stichting TwenteGlas, Vechtdal Breed and Stichting Internet Breedband Buitengebied Dalfsen and the municipalities Hengelo, Haaksbergen, Enschede, Losser, Dalfsen and Ommen on rolling out fibre to outlying areas. It's now re-evaluated its roll-out plans and decided to focus on ongoing roll-out projects, rather than starting more new construction.
