Pakistan to issue temporary 5G trial licenses

Pakistan's Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has released a framework for test and development of 5G networks on the local market. The PTA will issue temporary 5G Test and Development Authorizations. Entities registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and/or Pakistan Engineering Council, R&D agencies and academic institutions, devices and/or equipment manufacturers will be able to apply for this temporary license.
