Paraguay-Argentina fibre optic connection is proposed

The head of the Paraguayan Internet Chamber (Capadi), Jorge Irala, has propose the installation of a fibre optic network that reaches the Argentinean city of Las Toninas, reports La Nacion. As a result of the USD 40 million investment, internet connections in Paraguay should be improved, as direct access would be obtained to submarine cables. Irala also criticised the regulator's new National Telecommunications Plan, pointing out that its main point should be improving national connectivity for a better price.
