Paraguay's Copaco reduces losses in 2015

Monday 25 April 2016 | 11:24 CET | News
Paraguay's state-owned telecom operator Copaco ended 2015 with a loss of PYG 7 billion, a net improvement on the previous year when the loss amounted to PYG 47 billion, according to company CEO Eduardo Neri Gonzalez. In an interview for ABC, he said profits were around PYG 7 billion, but when the losses of PYG 14.8 billion of its subsidiary Vox are included, the deficit was around PYG 7 billion. Neri Gonzales expressed hope that Copaco will end 2016 with a positive balance. He also announced that users of mobile operator Hola Paraguay will be able to access the 4G service within two months.
