Parliament votes on cable net neutrality, arbitration

Signal neutrality will be taken up in the Dutch Media Act after Parliament voted on 4 July on the amendment put forward by Labour Party PvdA and Liberal Party VVD. The amendment is similar as the one for net neutrality, but for broadcasters. The bill was handled by Parliament just before the summer break and will move on to the Upper House of Parliament in the fall. The adoption of the bill means the ministry of education, culture and science (OCW) can enforce net neutrality on the cable.
