Pay TV and online video set to grow fast in CEE

According to the research company IHS Markit, the pay TV and chargeable online video market in the Central and Eastern Europe will acquire twice as many viewers as cable, DTT, IPTV and satellite TV together, reported Telko.in. IHS Markit estimates that pay-TV and subscription VoD services such as Netflix will increase their customer base in the region by 1.88 million. IPTV will rank second with expected acquisitions at 573,000 clients. The other pay TV platforms will gain 320,000 new clients, including 79,000 for cable TV and 118,000 for satellite TV.
