Pay TV firms benefit from offering Netflix - study

Having Netflix on their pay-TV platforms benefits an operator's business, according to the latest research from IHS Technology. The report shows that integrating Netflix into traditional pay TV services, such as Virgin Media and BT TV, has had a net positive impact on these operators' performance. However, these partnerships are not appropriate for all operators, with those investing in their own film and entertainment content, such as Sky, still wary of working with Netflix. The report concludes that in the longer term, there is a risk that Netflix will put pressure on some of operators'
