Pay-TV viewers want better search, recommendation features

Only 3 percent of traditional viewers have actually 'cut the cord', despite panic among traditional pay-TV providers, according to new research from Rovi. The survey of pay-TV and OTT content subscribers in the US, Europe and Asia looked to examine trends in viewer behaviour related to discovery, search, and recommendations for entertainment content and programming. At 7 percent, the US had the highest number of actual cord cutters compared to the other regions.
