PayJoy plans to start smartphone hire purchase service in Kenya in Q2

US-based financial technology firm PayJoy is set to launch phone loan services in Kenya in partnership with gadgets distributor Allied Group, to tap into the growing demand for smartphones, reports Business Daily. The fintech was started by Google ex-employees in 2015 and will allow people to sign smartphone payment plans in mobile retail stores run by Allied Mobile from the second quarter of the year.
