PayPal CTO to resign from April

PayPal CTO James Barrese will resign from 1 April. Barrese will be succeeded by two people, Sri Shrivananda and William Ready. Shivananda, PayPal's VP of global platform and infrastructure, will take over as CTO, while Ready, its global head of product and engineering, will head the payment services functions that Barrese currently oversees. PayPal said Barrese decided to step down "to take time off". He will remain with PayPal for a period of time to support a smooth transition period.
