PayPay hits 20 mln smartphone payment users milestone

M-payments platform PayPay, a joint venture between SoftBank and Yahoo Japan, has announced that the number of users of its smartphone payment service dubbed PayPay has reached 20 million on 17 November 2019. There are now over 1.7 million merchants that accept PayPay and the number of payments reached 300 million cumulative payments.
