PayTabs launches Tap to Phone system for contactless payments via smartphone

MENA payments services provider PayTabs has announced the launch of PayTabs Touch product, a Tap to Phone merchant payment acceptance system. The device requires only a smartphone with Wi-Fi connection or mobile data. Cardholders can then tap their contactless Visa or other enabled payment cards or digital wallets on the merchant's smartphone to make a payment.
