PC market to lift 8% this year, after 'blockbuster' 2020 - Canalys

Friday 5 March 2021 | 12:14 CET | News
The global PC market (including desktops, notebooks and tablets) is expected to rise by 8 percent in 2021, after its "blockbuster" 2021, with all categories seen up, according to the latest study from Canalys. Shipments should reach 496.8 million units, with backlogs on device orders from last year still ongoing amid pandemic-related lockdowns. Supply issues are expected to persist this year and act as the main restriction on higher growth levels. Chromebooks and tablets will do especially well, with shipments seen up 30 percent and 8 percent, respectively.
