Pegasus Technologies obtains licence to provide mobile payments in Uganda

Pegasus Technologies has become the fifth company to receive a Payment Service Operator (PSO) licence from the Bank of Uganda. This lets the company directly transfer funds, as well as integrate with platform owners such as banks, telecoms firms, utility companies, pay-TV providers and so on to deliver aggregation services. Managing director Ronald Azairwe said the licence was an important milestone in the fourteen-year history of the business.
