Pelephone launches 5G network in Israel

Wednesday 5 August 2020 | 10:56 CET | News
Israeli operator Pelephone has announced the launch of its 5G network. Called Pelephone Plus, the network operated by the Bezeq-owned company will utilise the hundreds of sites it built in recent months. The sites and the network itself will begin operating as soon as frequencies are allocated. Pelephone acquired a network of 250 5G sites from Ericsson, which has earned it a ILS 80 million grant from the Ministry of Communications.
