Periscope launches auto-play on Twitter

Tuesday 12 January 2016 | 22:25 CET | News
Periscope announced in a blog post that its video streaming service on parent company Twitter is now available for iOS. The company said that it is now possible for viewers to watch broadcasts without leaving the Twitter app. Periscope has replaced the links with the broadcast itself, auto-playing right within the Tweet. Users do not need the Periscope app or even a Periscope account. The company says its new feature gives broadcasters the ability to reach the massive Twitter audience.
