Peru's MTC postpones decision on Azteca fibre backbone to July

Wednesday 17 March 2021 | 12:03 CET | News
Peru's transport and communications ministry (MTC) said it will finally decide on whether to allow Mexico's Azteca Comunicaciones to exit from its participation in the country's Fibre Optic Backbone Network (RDFO) this coming July. In a statement, the ministry said a public consultation on the contract resolution will continue until mid-April, followed by a public hearing a month later and a final decision on 16 July after the opinions of Azteca and all other interested parties have been fully evaluated.
