Peru's Osiptel proposes new supervising entity

Wednesday 4 October 2017 | 11:49 CET | News
Peruvian telecom services regulator Osiptel has submitted a draft decree proposing the creation of a new entity to supervise the country's operators. Under the terms of the proposed changes to the watchdog's guidelines, a separate third party or split-off entity of Osiptel would perform supervisory functions, with the power to take certain precautionary measures to ensure operators meet their obligations. Interested parties have been given 15 days to submit their comments on the regulator's proposal.
