Peruvian operators required to guarantee 70% of contracted internet speed

Monday 24 May 2021 | 11:32 CET | News
The Plenary of the Peruvian Congress has finally approved a measure to increase minimum guaranteed speeds for internet access following several weeks of talks, reports Telesemana. The approved bill includes the obligation to provide at least 70 percent of internet access speeds contracted by clients via their postpaid and prepaid plans, compared to the current rule that only requires operators to provide at least 40 percent of the corresponding rate.
