Pioneer (Tokyo, Japan), consumer electronics maker, has reported group net profit of Y7.96 bil for its 3rd-qtr to 31 December 2002, up more than 2-fold from Y3.2 bil a year earlier, on sales up 8.% to a record Y193.9 bil, including royalty revenue. It has boosted its full-year net profit forecast by one fifth to Y15 bil, with its sales forecast for the year to 31 March 2003 unchanged at Y720 bil.
