Polish auditor finds shortcomings in mobile antenna permits

NIK, Poland's top audit chamber, has issued a report criticising the public procedures for allocating mobile base station permits. The NIK said unclear rules meant that some base stations were operating without an analysis of their impact on the surrounding neighbourhood, including an assessment on the health and quality of life of residents. The chamber looked at administrative proceedings in Krakow, Warsaw and Lublin over the period 2009-2014.
